Katie studied Biomedical Engineering at NC State before finding her passion in nursing and graduating undergraduate from East Carolina University. She attended DePaul University in Chicago, IL for her Masters in Nursing. Katie has worked in pediatrics for nearly 10 years working as a pediatric ICU nurse, NICU and Cardiac ICU nurse at multiple top children's hospitals before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She was a travel nurse in Austin, TX where she met her husband and has since settled down in Wilmington, NC with their first child.
